This Privacy Policy explains how Precious Sentiment, a jewelry business based in Brooklyn, New York, handles personal information in connection with this website and information received as the seller when a purchase is completed through the Etsy shop.
1. This Website and Etsy Are Separate Services
This website is a jewelry catalog and marketing site. It does not accept orders, payments, payment-card information, or purchase-account registrations. Selecting an Etsy purchase link takes you to Etsy’s service. Etsy operates its account, checkout, and payment experience under its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
When you follow an Etsy link, Etsy may receive the destination shop or listing, referring page, IP address, and browser or device information. When you purchase from the shop on Etsy, Etsy may provide Precious Sentiment with information needed to act as the seller. This Policy describes Precious Sentiment’s handling of information it receives; it does not control Etsy’s independent practices.
2. Information Collected on This Website
Depending on how you use the website, the following information may be collected:
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, date and time, and error or security events in ordinary server logs.
- Catalog searches: words entered in the website search feature.
- Contact submissions: name, email address, selected subject, message, IP address, browser user-agent, submission time, and spam/rate-limit information. Contact submissions are stored as private records in WordPress administration. A notification may be sent through the site’s email infrastructure to the site operator.
- Technical storage: limited cookies or browser storage used for authorized website administration, security, or core browser/WordPress feature checks.
The website does not accept new public product-review submissions. Do not send payment-card details, government identifiers, or other highly sensitive information through the contact form.
3. Information Associated With Purchases Completed Through Etsy
If you purchase from the Etsy shop, Etsy may provide Precious Sentiment with your name, email address, shipping address, item and order details, gift or customization instructions, messages, payment status, and information used for shipment, tracking, returns, disputes, or customer service.
Precious Sentiment does not receive a buyer’s full payment-card number or card security code from Etsy. Etsy buyer information is used only as reasonably needed to:
- fulfill, ship, support, change, cancel, return, or refund an order;
- communicate about the Etsy transaction;
- prevent fraud, protect customers, and resolve disputes or Etsy cases;
- maintain tax, accounting, and business records; and
- comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
An Etsy buyer is not added to an email, SMS, or physical mailing list merely because the buyer placed an order. Separate consent is required before Etsy buyer information is used for unrelated marketing.
4. How Information Is Used
Relevant information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the website; display the catalog; respond to contact and privacy requests; detect spam, fraud, abuse, or security incidents; administer Etsy orders; comply with law; and protect the rights and safety of customers, Precious Sentiment, and others.
5. How Information Is Disclosed
Relevant information may be disclosed to website hosting, security, maintenance, email, backup, and anti-spam providers; Etsy; shipping carriers used for Etsy orders; accountants, insurers, attorneys, and other professional advisers; authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, valid legal process, or safety obligations; and a successor in a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
At the effective date, the public website requests font files from Google Fonts and may request WordPress emoji support assets from WordPress.org. Those providers may receive ordinary request information such as IP address, user-agent, and referring page. Etsy receives ordinary request information when a visitor selects an Etsy link. Linked services process information under their own policies.
The public website does not currently use analytics tags, advertising pixels, retargeting, cross-context behavioral advertising, or session replay, and Precious Sentiment does not sell personal information for money. If these practices change, this Policy will be updated and any notice or choice required by applicable law will be provided before the change takes effect.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The public website does not use cookies for a website cart, checkout, abandoned-cart marketing, analytics, or advertising. WordPress uses cookies for authorized administration and security. This storage is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
No cookie consent banner or preference center is displayed because the current public website does not use optional analytics or advertising cookie categories. Browser settings can delete or block cookies and storage; blocking a technical item may affect the feature that relies on it.
7. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
The website does not currently engage in sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising, so there is no such processing to opt out of at this time. If covered processing is introduced, legally required universal opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control where applicable, will be honored and an appropriate choice method will be provided before activation.
